What did I do on Memorial Day, you ask??? Did I relax? Lay out by a pool on this beautiful day? Play with my kids? Oh no! I helped out with the remodeling at the Kenpo Dojo by painting. The kids ran around as Cindy and I painted. We were glad to help out our friend, Dave. The place looks awesome!

May 30th

Mark and I took the kids to the LuLu Shrine Circus. This has been a tradition of ours for the last few years. This one was the best yet, although it was extremely hot and I got sunburn.

May 29th

Went to the dojo to help paint, but had to do all the pre-work before hand. I sanded the walls and woodwork while Cheryl wiped the walls after me. The room is now prepped and ready for color.

Well Johnny finally lost 2 teeth! They had to be pulled at the dentist yesterday, but the tooth fairy left him something for his piggy bank.

Went to PF Changs for my birthday. I ordered the shrimp with candied walnuts and honeydew. Very yummy! I thought my fortune was a little strange though.

Happy birthday to me!! I cut my hair today for locks of love. I am not used to my hair being short but I think I like it. Hey anything to make me look younger!!

In Girlscouts we are working on a penny try-it. I gave the girls dollar bills and magnifying glasses then told them to try and find the animal on the front. They had to tell me what animal it was. Can you see it??

Today was the day my oldest cut her hair for lock of love! She wasn't too happy about it being so short, but wants to help others. She is so me!

My monkey boy climbing the rotating rock wall. It was actually really cool to watch. His best record climbing was 42 feet.

Yay! It's so nice to have a dishwasher that actually cleans dishes!! Thanks Dan for installing it! Funny story...The new dishwasher went in, but during the installation, the trap under the sink broke. I now have a dishwasher I can use, but a sink that I can't. Like Alanis Morrisette said, "Isn't it ironic?"

Time to say farewell to my pos dishwasher! Out with the old and in with the new! It's a shame that the trap was broken so right now my dishwasher works but I can't use my sink. :)

Okay, so I always wanted to watch the show Glee. I found a site that allows me to watch the whole first season and I am hooked. Mr. Shoe rocks!!

I did the Urban Seminar and this is my student teacher for 2 weeks. Although he is "tech ed", I am sure that he will learn a lot this week. His name is Mr. G from Millersville. I hope he enjoys the kids.

As I was walking up the hallway towards my classroom I happened to look down and notice the floor. Maintenance cleaned half of the hallway and what a difference it made. I didn't realize that the floors were white underneath the grime. LOL

My second grade Voicethreads are finished. The students created African masks in Art. They wrote about them in my class and then we recorded them on Voicethread. Check them out.

My daughter is finally finished her science fair project. What am I going to do when I have all my children doing them?? Oye! I don't even want to think about it!!

We did our 3rd annual Mother's Day Brunch at Casino Deli. Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there! :)

Today was staff appreciation day. My principal provided breakfast for the entire staff. We had everything from bagels and fruit to breakfast wraps and coffee. YUMMY! I opened my email to find a Blue Mountain card from her. It's nice to know that, every once in a while someone acknowledges how hard I work. :)

Happy Cinco de Mayo! This was the trash truck that came down my street. It is part of the Mural Arts Program. I couldn't believe it when I saw a decorated "trash" truck. WOW!

We made flower pot recipe holders at Girl Scouts tonite. They came out so cute. The girls, Jonathan & Jake had a good time doing them!

My eldest had her Karaoke party for her birthday. My head is still ringing after listening to 20 screaming children with a microphone! All had a great time!
